Crab Apple Farm Placemat Directions   

Crab Apple Farm, designed by Deb Strain, is perfect for placemat's or pillows. Below are simple directions for you to use with this collection.

To create the placemat's, follow these directions:

To make one placemat measuring 11" x 17" finished:

  1. Center panel: cut panel to 10 1/2" x 12 1/2"
  2. Border fabric: cut 2 strips, 12 1/2" x 1" for top and bottom
  3. Sew these border pieces to top and bottom of placemat panel.
  4. Cut 2 side borders, 11 1/2" x 3" each. Sew to sides.
  5. Backing: you will need a 15" x 21" piece of fabric. Purchase a fat quarter.
  6. Batting: you will need a 15" x 21" piece of batting.
  7. To bind, you will need a 60" long strip of 2" wide binding.
