This pattern has originally developed using Robyn Pandolph's Moondance Collection. Fabrics in 12 patterns of three different colors make up this simple but lovely quilt.
You can change the color scheme to personalize your quilt - there are plenty of options open to you using any of our suggested fat quarter packs below.

Fabric Requirements
There are 12 fat quarter cuts of fabric:
Use these proportions when using your own fabrics. For example, 3 greens,5 yellows, 4 reds would work just fine.

You will need 55" (1 1/2 yds) of batting for the quilt.
Backings: Select a fabric from any of our Fabric Collections. You will need 112" (3 1/4yds) of 45" wide fabric. All our fabrics above are 45" wide.
Read all directions first. Pre wash fabrics and iron. All measurements below include a 1/4" seam allowance.
Cutting your fabric:
Cutting the Fat Quarters
Cut each fat quarter into 4 7/8" squares - you will need 12 squares per fat quarter.
Cut all squares into half square triangles. You will have 144 half square triangles when finished.

Quilt Layout:
Layout your triangles per this diagram. When you sew your quilt top together, sew two triangles together, layout the quilt top again and then sew the quilt together, row by row. All together, you will need 72 squares of yellow/peach, 24 squares of green/yellow and 48 squares of peach/green. Within each four triangle square, the same fabrics are used.

Backing and Batting:
You will need a piece of backing and batting 55" x 55".
Quilt your quilt as desired.
Binding:
You can use the left over strips from the fat quarters for a multi-color binding. Cut the 22" x approximately 2 1/2" strips down to 22" x 2" strips. Sew enough together to create 106" of binding. If purchasing separately, you will need 12" of fabric.

Fabric Requirements
You should use at least 11 different fabrics for this quilt.
Use these proportions when using your own fabrics. For example, 3 blues, 4 yellows, 4 reds would work just fine. |
You will need 76.5" (2 1/8 yds) of batting for the quilt.
Backings: Select a fabric from on of the collections above. You will need 200" (5 5/8 yds) All our fabrics above are 45" wide unless otherwise noted.
90" wide Muslin backings: You will need 98" (2 3/4 yds) of this material.
Read all directions first. Pre wash fabrics and iron. All measurements below include a 1/4" seam allowance.
Cutting your fabric:
Cut your fabric into 4 7/8" strips.
You will need the following number of strips per color family:
Peach - 6 strips for a total of 96 squares per fabric
Yellow and Green - 5 strips for a total of 80 squares per fabrc
Cut all squares into half square triangles.You will need the following number of half square triangles per color group and you will have plenty extra.
Yellow - 270 total triangles
Green - 216 total triangles
Peach - 342 total triangles.
Quilt Layout:
Layout your triangles per diagram at the top of this page. When you sew your quilt top together, sew two triangles together, layout the quilt top again and then sew the quilt together, row by row.
Backing and Batting:
Fabric requirements:
Backing: 203” of fabric (5 5/8 yds). Cut fabric in half and sew a rectangle 101" x 88".
Batting: 2 1/8 yard of batting

Binding:
You can use the left over strips from the quilt top fabric for a multi-color binding. Cut 2" strips and sew enough together to create 340" of binding. If purchasing separately, you will need 18" of fabric.
